The 1997 IDEA Act requires "transition services" for graduating high school seniors with IEPs.  These plans must promote movement into post-secondary education or employment. 

                                                                    It is not working.    

Less than 1/3 of autistic youth are employed in the first 2 years after high school.  Less than 1/3 attend college, and less than 15% ever graduate from college. (U.S. Department of Education)  

                                                                              Why?  

Because successful transition requires careful and detailed planning in multiple domains. 

Combining a system developed at the University of Missouri, called "Charting the Life Course" with the first-hand knowledge of young, self-advocate adults who have recently made the transition, CReW's transtion services are tailored for your family.

The sooner you start the better, but it's NEVER too late.

Our groups are organized by age to be sure you get to focus on issues relevant to you right now.   Groups include :

• Young teens entering into high school
• Older teens leaving high school for college or work
• College students preparing for their adult life
• Adults who want more independence, supports, or security

Success Groups are offered at $45 per participant per 90-minute session.

Sliding scale is available for financial need.
